Administration of Tax Returns

We provide administration of clients’ documents which include returns and any other required information which would lead into determination of accurate taxes. We file tax returns on behalf of our clients to the Tax Authority timely and maintain clients’ returns and any information for further usefulness.

Handling of Tax matters

We have a competent team to ensure all tax matters are handled accurately and timely. However, we provide representative service to the Tax Authority on behalf of our Clients. Our team ensures that tax disputes, objections and appeals are in line with the tax laws and the responses to the Tax authority are timely executed.

Tax Advisory

We provide advice on corporation tax, withholding taxes, VAT, double taxation status, charitable tax status, updates of changes in the tax laws and regulations, customs and excise duties, stamp duties, payroll taxes, preparation of transfer pricing policy and the tax implications of any other matters which may be referred to us. The scope of the advisory services shall be discussed between Innovex and the client.

Tax health check

The purpose of tax health-checks is to assess prevailing exposures and identify possible faults, inefficiencies or probable risk areas. The scope might include all taxes or only certain types of taxes. Where identified, tax saving opportunities will be explored. The health-check process concludes in a report recognising items found. Then presenting to the management and personnel our findings and recommendations and the appropriate strategy for solving tax issues and minimising exposures. Customised client workshops based on the report with the emphasis on practical approaches also add a lot of value in managing our client’s tax risks.

Tax Planning and Refunds

Part of our work will include an overview of your business and personal tax circumstances with a view to helping you mitigate your tax liabilities wherever possible so that you get to keep more of what you earn. Often it is seen that many Taxpayers end up in paying higher taxes. This is just because of ignorance about the latest tax laws of the country and special tax advantages available to them. Here, at Innovex we guide our clients on various tax exemptions, tax deductions and rebates.

Training and Capacity Building

We train our clients to understand all important procedures and guidelines as per Tax laws and Regulations to ensure Tax compliance. Exemptions and Waiver

Our duty on exemptions and waiver of tax is to provide to our clients a service that seek tax relief as provided in the tax provisions. Our role is to ensure the business claims exemptions where applicable and tax waiver is timely requested for maximum compliance with the tax laws and regulations.

Tax Registration and Clearance

We help our clients process and obtain tax clearance certificates. This includes but not limited to; company registration, TIN and VAT registration as well as processing business license on behalf of our clients.

Tax Due Diligence Audits

Conducting tax due diligence involving high level audits of all taxes, identifying the areas of tax exposures, quantification of such exposures and commenting on the likelihood of such exposures being realized in an assessment by the Tanzania Revenue Authority.

Capital Gains

Part of our work will include an overview of your business and personal tax circumstances with a view to helping you mitigate your tax liabilities wherever possible so that you get to keep more of what you earn. We provide practical treatment of ascertaining the accurate capital gain tax to be paid to the Tax Authority upon realisation of an interest on land or building during the normal operation of the business.

Representing Clients on Tax Audits

As part of our service, we attend on behalf of our clients to tax audits carried by the Tanzania Revenue Authority and to assist in preparation of tax audit responses and answering to tax audit queries raised by the tax officials.
